How To Write Goals For A Successful Goal Setting Outcome

There are likely hundreds of different ways of goal setting. However, out of all the ways of goal setting there are some important steps when writing goals which are likely to make it possible for you to achieve the goal.
Looking at the stats, we know that only around 7% of people goal set. By this the 7% are people who consciously decide on an outcome they want to achieve. However, looking at another important stat with regard to finance, we find that only 1 out of 100 becomes rich or should we say that it is the level of above a million dollars in income, multi-millions in assets, etc. And only 4 others will be financially independent.
Though goal setting does not have to be about your financial sector, it still is a good measurement. After all for many who set and achieve those big goals it generally directly or indirectly made them rich. So, it is a good way to look at both.
There are ways to get to this successful group, and by doing goal setting, I have to congratulate you, as you are only one of few who goal set. However to get into that 5% of true achievers there is a few things more to do, and these steps are essential for success.
Your goals must be written down. After all, it must be an important goal. An important goal set is one which must be written down or it will fade. Remember your goal, and write it down, this is the first point of achievement.
However, simply writing a goal down does not do much difference to the achievement. There is more to do, if you truly want this goal manifest in your life. The most important way to go about writing your goal is to be clear. So many people will wish, so many people will say I want to be rich, I want to be healthy, I want a Yacht, but so few will do the most important step – formulate, clarify, and write it down.
Upon looking at your set goal, consider what it is you really want? Is it $1,000,000? Is it a certain weight, a certain holiday, a certain Yacht? People will say they want a Yacht, but never did anything about it, apart from something aired on the Discovery Channel!
Our minds are like a great ocean; however, we need to find ways to focus. Most people go through life without controlling the ship. You are like a ship, like an airplane, a missile, and a powerful one at that. To reach your goal, you have to know the destination, and approximately how long it will take for you to get there.
If you are one of those 5% who will one day realize the results of the 5%, then you are one who is taking action, now. Everyday you take action. For you, I want to leave you with one key overlooked, and that is time.
You have to know where you are, and where you are going, and how long it could take. Though most people like you, who take action will find that the goal is not achieved in the time set, and here is where catastrophes could happen.
Most people who reach this stage will give up, because they see the goal not achieved. However, remember this is a goal which you have set, and never achieved before. Though you maybe like an airplane, a goal striving being, you have to realize that the airplane has made the journey many countless times, years upon years, and they know almost with certainty the time it will take.
If you are on a journey to a new destination, one which you have not been to before, don’t question how to goal set, instead think of yourself like Columbus. You have your goal, and work to it, you don’t know how long it will take, but you can console that it can be achieved in a lifetime.

Effective Goal Setting Skills

In business, career and personal life, effective goal setting skills are essential. Goal setters can be found in any Forbes list, rich list, high up in corporations, and winners of life. Effective goal setting skills transform lives.
People are like ships without rudders. Without a destination, they stay in port, and never see new horizons. We see these people even in our local area. These people generally will say they have been living in that area or that house since they were born. They may not go on holiday, and may likely conform to the norm. However, this is not what some want.
Even though the majority of people do indeed settle to mediocrity, we don’t. Out of 100 people interviewed at 25, and re-interviewed at 65, only 5 will achieve great things, and out of that 5 only one will achieve super success.
What makes 95% of the people to live that mediocre life? We know that about 7% of people set goals. And if we ask that 5% about what they all do, we will find that they all goal set! This makes achieving goals with a chance of 40-70% success rate. It is much better than if we don’t set goals.
In effect effective goal setting skills are essential, especially if you want change or want something. If you want to become a doctor, and do that consciously by deciding, then you have set a goal. You know what you want to do, and can take action on that. It is same whether a doctor, entrepreneur, singer or actor.
Having effective goal setting skills is not the only thing that will make you a success. Simply writing your goals down does not mean that you will succeed, nor will having an elaborate goal setting system.
All effective goal setting skills can give you, is the ability to achieve, however, it will be up to you to achieve them. You will need to have a confident attitude of success, and also the motivation to act.
Resolutions – something which countless millions do at New Years, end up not working. Goal setting works, however, New Year resolutions are not effective goal setting skills. People set goals at New Year, and then move forward with the goal for the first few days or even a week or two at max. New Year resolutions become peak when we have been drinking alcohol, unfortunately, by time the alcohol wears off, we soon forget about the resolution until next year.
Decide to be different. Understand that the most successful people employ goal setting to some degree. However, to achieve that goal, especially those big goals, you will need much more of a system. A goal setting system improves chances of success.
Consider the 5%. That 5% is committed to achieving that goal. They have effective goal setting skills, and also know why they want something. This is essential, as knowing why you want something, will allow you to take action. And you will soon find success.

How Can Goal Setting Worksheets Help You

Goal setting can be done in many ways. For example, you could simply think about it, make big plans or even use goal setting worksheets. Success is determined by a system that can streamline the process. Join me as you discover how goal setting worksheets can help you.
In any goal, there is always a way for its achievement. We can look at the success as a spectrum. On the one end, failure, and on the other, success. To achieve success then needs to do things different. After all, we see many people who have a goal, even if they haven’t consciously thought about it. For example, those who want a Yacht, and want to retire to a sunny beech, but in most cases never do.
I truly believe that every goal you desire for the fulfillment of, you can achieve. However, tools are needed. You can’t put on a new tire on a car, without effective tools, not can you succeed without the effective tools.
In goal setting, this is the goal setting worksheets. You see, from that spectrum of success, we can see less we do, less we get, and the more we do, the more we get. This applies in most cases but not all cases.
You could plan to make a cup of coffee, and make it into a 100 page business plan of how you will make the coffee. What we need is a simple way to do things. A goal setting system with goal setting worksheets that make this possible.
There are many places that offer goal setting worksheets, and some even offer comprehensive goal setting systems. These can be a great way to keep things simple, without having to fall short on the necessities of goal setting.
You can think about a cup of coffee and make it without plans; however, you can’t just leave your life goals to such chances. They must at the very least be written down on paper. Even if you don’t have a goal setting system, simply writing it down, will improve the likelihood that you will achieve that goal.
If we look at that success spectrum again, we will find that there are things we can do to either make it more likely to manifest in our lives, and decrease the time to achievement. Achieving both of these is a science and an art in goal setting.
It needs smart goal setting. And smart is all about finding solutions that makes life easier, cut down the time to achievement, and increase likelihood of success. This takes time, and even with a full on system, you may find that you can tweak the goal setting systems to meet your needs.
Goal setting worksheets are great for many reasons. Once you use them over time, you will find them become second nature. And then your goal setting will take on a new meaning. With you setting goals and achieving them on almost a daily basis.

What Is Goal Setting Exactly?

If you are new to the world of personal development and goal setting, then you may be wondering what it is and how to go about goal setting. In this article, you will learn what is goal setting and how you may just be doing goal setting already.
When you awake in the morning to go to work in time, this is goal setting. The process of setting your alarm to get up, washing your clothes the night before, and preparing for work are all part of goal setting.
In the dictionary the term goal means the end of the race or the object of effort. These points are important. Another word we have is set. To set means to put or place in specified position or condition; cause to sit; fix, point, put up; make ready; become firm or fixed, establish; prescribe, allot; arrange while wet, so that it dries in position.
That last point is an important one. If we consider sand and cement, we add water, and it sets, it becomes concrete. This is the essence of what is goal setting. You have an objective, and with the right ingredients, you make a product, your goal.
A goal can be thought of as an end step. What do you want exactly? Answering this question gives you the understanding of what the goal you want to set is. Another term we can call this other than the end step is the outcome. So if you think of a concert. Now the travel is not the end goal, but being in the concert, listening to the band is the end step, the outcome. Literally, you walked steps, and the end step was the concert.
Understanding what is goal setting is pretty much easy. You have a goal. But, what about the setting part of things? To really understand what is goal setting, we must look at the set part.
For many people goals are a part of life. Though there is a big distinction. For example someone wanting to get to work in time, may be doing a form of goal setting, but this type of goal is not what we are thinking about when we say what is goal setting.
So, what is goal setting exactly? There is a big difference, and that difference is either doing it consciously or unconsciously. When you consciously goal set, you are setting goals that you have decided upon. You say you want this, that or other.
This is important as it means you are choosing the direction. Only a small portion of the population does this. Current conscious goal setting is done by only 4-7% of people. And the success rate is approximately 50%. For example out of 100 people 4-7 of them will set a goal, to achieve something, to be something, to get something. Out of that 4-7 people only 2-3 will achieve.
It may seem slim chances. But consider that you have a 50% of a chance of achieving some goal you set, compared to the 96-93% who never set goals. It is the only thing that will give you the greatest leverage to move forward and that is to be consciously deciding on what you want.
The figures don’t stop there however. Only 1% of those 100 people will achieve a financial goal, such as becoming a multimillionaire, and truly prosperous. You may say why goal set. The answer is in what is goal setting. Setting goals is the only way to increase your chances of living the life of your dreams.

Benefits Of Goal Setting – Why Set Goals?

Are there any real benefits of goal setting? Why set goals in the first place? These questions can easily crop into our minds, especially if we are new to goal setting or even a seasoned goal setter with doubts and wanting some benefits of goal setting.
There are many benefits of goal setting. The process of setting goals enables you to focus your mind on what you want exactly. For example, if you consider going on vacation, there is no point in getting on an airplane, before considering where you want to go! After all, how would you choose which airplane to get on?
You can’t buy a burger from McDonalds before you decide on what you want to buy. So, the essence of the benefits of goal setting comes down to what you want. Focusing your mind to the point that you can move forward to get what you want.
Sometimes you will find that you say ‘what is the point’. And here is where more benefits of goal setting come into effect. For example of those that set goals and achieve, compared to those who do not achieve; we see that the ones who achieve are those who have a big enough why.
The benefits of setting goals can only be found when you have a big enough why. Why do you want that goal? This is important, because so many people who do set goals, and don’t achieve, have not figured out why they want something.
We find many people want to get rich. Many will dream about it, even fewer will set goals on achieving the goal. Even fewer will try, and even fewer will succeed. The marked difference is in the why.
When someone truly has a big enough reason to get rich, guess what; they ultimately get rich! A person, who is in the process of losing there home, is more likely to get rich in a shorter period of time, than someone earning $30,000 per year.
Getting comfortable is a big key of failure. So, to get success, we need to utilize the benefits of goal setting. We need to set goals, and work to achieve them. But, this all comes down to the why.
Some other benefits of goal setting include increasing self confidence. For example, it is generally a good idea to start on small goals, and gradually increase. This allows you to gain confidence on the smaller goals, and gradually work to bigger goals. The initial confidence will work great wonders.
This is what athletes and Olympians all around the world do. They set small targets, small goals, and gradually increase. No one tries to do record breakers every day. Simply, they increase slightly often, and as a result gain the benefits of goal setting.
You can see the benefits of goal setting, when you do what athletes do. You can become an Olympic champion business man, entrepreneur or whatever else you want to do, be or have.
